I would like to express my heartfelt thanks for the weekly arrival of the Sentinel, which always brings a breath of fresh air, shedding new light on the challenges at hand. A few weeks ago, it was decided at short notice that I should travel to Nairobi, Kenya, on business. While I was packing my suitcase, the thought came to also pack spiritual qualities, understanding, and the latest periodicals. To my delight, the 11 July Sentinel (“Arresting theft—what can’t be stolen”) had just arrived. The idea that 911 stands for Psalms 91:1, “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty,” jumped out as a good motto for the trip [Marsha Maupin, “When my car was stolen: How I prayed”]. The opportunity to share this idea with a colleague from Nairobi came up during the visit.

Needless to say, the trip went smoothly and the members of First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Nairobi eagerly took the periodicals I had brought along.
