A nature walk to remember

It was a cold winter morning, and the dawn had yet to arrive. I had struggled through another sleepless night and was out for an early walk. It felt good to be outside.

For a number of days I had been burdened by an overwhelming feeling of pressure and stress caused by the demands of my job and the abrupt end of a relationship I had desperately hoped would succeed. A constant sense of discouragement and fatigue had been encumbering my thoughts and hampering my activities.

The area where I lived during the time was close to several beautiful nature paths through both open and wooded areas. Walking down one of the paths that morning, I thought of a passage from the Christian Science Bible Lesson that I had been reading during the night: "All nature teaches God's love to man ..." (Science and Health, p. 326).
