LETTERS

Thanks for the editorial, "What to do, and what not to do," in the October 27 issue ["Let Life advance you"]. It prompts us to pray to God to revise our attitudes. My doctoral dissertation defined revision as "re-seeing" or "re-thinking." This is an important concept that Christian Science offers anyone searching for spiritual growth.

Thanks to Tom Young for his article, "Sudden light," in the November 3 issue ["Beyond partisan politics"]. I'm especially grateful for his description of "one healing moment" he had while working in a detention facility for juveniles. It reminded me of my request for prayerful help from a Christian Science practitioner after I'd had a distressing day teaching a class of disruptive teenagers. The prayerful support was so effective that when I entered the classroom the next morning, all was quiet and peaceful.
