PRAYER KNOWS NO BOUNDARIES

Our now-grown eldest son is now a captain in the United States Marine Corps. In 2004, he volunteered to take a special assignment commanding Afghan commandoes in that wild and dangerous region called Waziristan, along the Pakistani border.

Our son has long been a serious adventurer, well trained in mountaineering and wilderness survival. He felt led to offer his skills for this difficult duty that would include operating out of a crude firebase in the rugged mountains in heavy snowfall and deprivation, under frequent attack, combating an illusive enemy.
