As a mom with three young children, living on a farm without close neighbors, I sometimes feel overwhelmed with feelings of personal responsibility. I feel I'm the one who needs some mothering.

The May 13 Sentinel on "The power of mother love" provided wonderful answers, especially Patricia Tupper Hyatt's parenting column, "Too much to do? Let Mother do it."

I was helped by the thought that our divine "Mom," God, is right here, ready to take care of everything. We simply need to listen for "Her infallible instruction." Then the ideas come as to what we should do first. This is how we can "lay personal responsibility aside," together with our "fears and limited viewpoints." Whatever falls to us to do, we're not on our own.
