Varicose vein gone

Some years ago I became friends with a Christian Scientist who invited me to attend services in her church. I began attending regularly and started to read the book Science and Health and to relate what it said to my life. My friend prayed for me whenever I needed it. Now she is my wife.

There were only a few discolorations visible, and they soon disappeared.

A healing that was remarkable to me occurred soon after I began studying Christian Science. At the time, I had a large varicose vein on one of my legs. I accompanied my friend on a trip to another city, where she attended a special meeting for Christian Scientists. I enjoyed spending time with other Christian Scientists. On the return trip, I began to feel feverish. When I got home, I asked my friend to pray for me. I also prayed with a full conviction that God is absolutely All. This truth applied to me, and to everything about me, including my health.

The next day the appearance of the varicose vein had changed. There were only a few discolorations visible, and they soon disappeared. I was completely healed of varicose veins. At the time, I lived in Rio, and I had always been embarrassed to wear a bathing suit on the beach, because of the varicose vein. After this I never felt uncomfortable again, because my legs were normal.

I am very grateful to God that I've become acquainted with Christian Science. "Rejoice in the Lord,ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness" (Ps. 97:12 ).
