To teens around the world...

You asked for it. You wrote for it. You filled it with your ideas and experiences. And here it is — a special teen issue of The Herald of Christian Science!

For several years now, Herald staffers have been talking with teenagers from Stockholm to Jakarta, from Paris to Buenos Aires, from Tokyo to São Paulo, from Berlin to Boston. And everywhere, they've heard this message: “How come there's not more in these magazines that's especially for us?”

You've told the Herald that you want to read about things that are important to you — relationships, jobs, sports, music, decisionmaking, getting out of addiction, getting out of depression. Most of all, you've said you want to share ideas with each other about how to feel close to God. How to pray. How to heal spiritually.

This special issue begins with a guest editorial by Priscilla del Castillo, a teenager from Argentina. In all, teenagers from 17 countries have contributed to the issue. They've sent in letters, short articles, interviews, photos, artwork. As you turn the pages ahead, you'll meet a wellknown disc jockey, a high school conflict mediator, a teen entrepreneur, a young adventurer who rode his motorcycle around the world. You'll read about movies that make you think. And you'll read a short story that says someone loves you.

Let us know how you feel about this special teen Herald. And watch for teen features to appear regularly from now on. We want you to be part of the Herald.:)

Warmly,

Mary
