Good news

Have you ever had such good news—
truly sweet, surprisingly good news—
to tell a friend
that you were bursting
and then ...
you find your friend not home?

Does God's news
of His day
His way
of being
all
good
above
all
we ask
or think*
ever find us
not at home?

That news is still good,
remains good
for us to know
when we come home
to our true home
in God.
