Letters to the Press

FROM THE COMMITTEE ON PUBLICATION

"A lie left to itself is not so soon destroyed as it is with the help of truth-telling." The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 130.

These words by Mary Baker Eddy, the Founder of this denomination, have special pointedness in our era of misinformation and disinformation. Perhaps never before have so wide a range of people felt an acute need for simple, honest truth-telling in public life. And certainly, the great issues of the reality of God, His love and healing power, and the spiritual illegitimacy of every form of evil call strongly for such attention.

We thought readers would like to see two recent examples of letters written in response to important questions about Christian Science.
