"A Little child shall lead them" (Isa. 11:6)
"A Little child shall lead them" (Isa. 11:6). This Bible prophecy was proved true in my experience a couple of years ago. I began the study of Christian Science many years ago. At that time I had a small growth on my chest, about the size of a BB shot. Shortly after I first noticed the growth, it began to enlarge. I would give myself Christian Science treatment—pray to understand better my true nature as God's child, spiritual and perfect—periodically, but my approach was not very disciplined or consistent. Often my attention would drift away.
Later, the condition worsened to the point that I had to have my dresses made in a special way. By now the growth was many times its initial size.
I have often made the point to my children and grandchildren that it is wrong to allow a problem to go unsolved. One day I picked up my then six-year-old grandson at school, and as we drove home he turned to me and said, "If we must solve problems, why do you have to have that big lump on you?" I had known that the growth needed to be thoroughly dealt with in Science, but it was this child's comment that fully awakened me to take action.
