LECTURE NOTICE

Detailed information regarding lectures in the United States and Canada must reach the Journal, Sentinel, and Herald Editorial Department nine weeks before the date of a lecture in order to ensure publication in the Sentinel. Information regarding lectures in other countries must reach the department ten to thirteen weeks before the date of a lecture. When lectures are to be radiocast, it should be so stated, station and frequency in kilocycles being included.

The receipt of all information from the United States and Canada is acknowledged by the Editorial Department. If an acknowledgment is not received within two weeks, a duplicate notice should be forwarded.

VISITORS WELCOME

Chestnut Hill, Mass.—The former residence of Mary Baker Eddy at 400 Beacon Street contains an exhibit room on the second floor where items tracing the growth of the movement from its earliest days to the present are displayed. This house is open to visitors weekdays May 15 through October 15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Sundays from 2 to 5 p.m. During the remainder of the year the hours are 12.30 to 4 p.m. daily except Sunday. It is closed on all holidays with the exception of April 19, May 30, and June 17. When these dates fall on a Sunday, the house is closed on Sunday and open on the Monday observed as the holiday.

Lynn, Mass.—The former home of Mrs. Eddy at 12 Broad Street is open to visitors daily, except Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 15 through October 15 the house is open on Sundays from 2 to 5 p.m. During the months of December, January, and February the hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily except Sunday. It is closed on all holidays with the exception of April 19, May 30, and June 17. When these dates fall on a Sunday, the house is closed on Sunday and open on the Monday observed as the holiday. This house, including the little attic room where Mrs. Eddy completed her work on the original manuscript of Science and Health, has been carefully restored to present the highest possible point of historical accuracy.

INTERNATIONAL MONEY ORDERS AND DOLLAR DRAFTS

International money orders and dollar drafts reaching the Publishing Society in Boston contain only the name and address of the sender and the amount. To help us serve you better, will you please write to us at the time you purchase the money order or dollar draft and tell us what your remittance is for. This will enable us to avoid the delay caused by the necessity of writing to you. Dollar drafts purchased from your local bank can be processed more quickly than international money orders.

TESTIMONY MEETINGS

Meetings at which testimonies of Christian Science healing are given, are held in Christian Science churches on Wednesdays. A cordial invitation to attend these meetings, as well as the Sunday services, is extended to all. Information telling where and when these are held is given in the Directory in The Christian Science Journal.

The Mother Church

The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, is located at Norway, Falmouth, and St. Paul Streets.

SERVICES

Sunday morning at 10.45, Sunday evening at 7.30 (evening service omitted during July and August), and Wednesday evening testimony meeting at 7.30. Sunday School for pupils up to the age of twenty at 10.45.

The Church edifice is open to visitors Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 12 noon until 5 p.m.

READING ROOMS

422 Boylston Street (near Berkeley Street). Open weekdays from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m., except on Wednesdays, when it closes at 6.30. Open Sundays from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m., and on holidays from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., except on Thanksgiving when it opens at 2 p.m.

(When a holiday falls on Wednesday, the above Reading Room closes at its regular Wednesday hour.)

8 Milk Street (near Washington Street). Open weekdays from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m., except on Saturdays, when it closes at 3 p.m. Closed Sundays and holidays.

Open Mondays through Fridays 7.30 a.m. until 9 p.m., Wednesdays 7.30 a.m. until 7 p.m., and from 8.30 p.m. until 9.30 p.m., Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m., Sundays from 12 noon until 7 p.m., and holidays from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., except on Thanksgiving, when it opens at 12 noon.
