I feel so very grateful for all...
I feel so very grateful for all the joy and comfort that Christian Science has brought to me that I wish to express my gratitude and show cause for it. Christian Science was explained to me in answer to my great wish to understand God.
I was a regular member of an orthodox church and a worker in its activities, but I had come to desire more spiritual understanding and could not find what I was seeking. Then one day I was asked to call on a stranger, who told me something about Christian Science and who interested me intensely. I never saw her again, nor do I remember her name, but she had sown the seeds of Truth, and I felt elated. After that I attended a Church of Christ, Scientist, until my husband and I left that town and went to another, where there was no branch church.
Later I began to attend a church seven miles away and was soon a member of it and of The Mother Church. Afterward I had the joy of visiting The Mother Church and then had class instruction. When I came down with the measles I telegraphed a practitioner and before long was as well as ever. Also I was able to leave off glasses that I had been told I would always have to wear. With the ever-ready and kindly help of practitioners I have had healings of cracked ribs, shingles, pneumonia, and rheumatism.
It has been lovely to serve in our church as Reading Room librarian, Second Reader, and in other capacities. My desire is to prove worthy of the better understanding of God that has come to me through Mrs. Eddy's works and to show my gratitude for all the activities of our movement. —(Mrs.) Constance Mary Cameron-Davies, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England.
