ARE WE GRATEFUL?

In proportion to our gratitude
Our blessings grow.
It is a God-bestowed beatitude
That this is so.

If we withhold our thanks for lesser gain,
We are not wise;
A flower responds to dew as well as rain,
And greets the skies.

Let us not outline what we would achieve—
Our God knows best
And gives as we are fitted to receive;
Each step is blest.
