As reported in your recent issue, questions about Christian Science occupied the attention of the Christian Brains Trust at a recent session held in Dunfermline. There seems to have been considerable misunderstanding of this subject, especially regarding the life of Mary Baker Eddy.

Christian Science is not a faith cure. One speaker very rightly commends faith; but faith is not sufficient to account for the healing ministry of Christian Science. The instantaneous healing of organic and chronic diseases accomplished by Christ Jesus and his disciples could not have been brought about by faith alone. We may dismiss the belief that "faith healing" was the ministry of the early Christian church. The same applies to the healing done in Christian Science.
