I notice in your recent issue that a vicar has made an attack on Christian Science which goes beyond the bounds of honest criticism and consists of a diatribe against Christian Science calculated to deter his parishioners from investigating the subject for themselves.

The attack in the parish magazine will undoubtedly stimulate some of the parishioners to investigate Christian Science, for they will know from their own experience that Christian Science is not what the vicar represents it to be, and that Mary Baker Eddy, far from answering to his uncharitable description of her character, was a remarkable and spiritually-minded woman, who spent her life in doing good and in establishing a church to which tens of thousands have come through despair and unbelief to find new hope, healing, and inspiration.
