On page 392 of Science and Health,...

On page 392 of Science and Health, our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, says: "Stand porter at the door of thought. Admitting only such conclusions as you wish realized in bodily results, you will control yourself harmoniously." Since taking up the study of Christian Science about nine years ago, I have overcome much wrong thinking, and have experienced a number of physical healings, which have given me confidence and courage to go forward and meet whatever may come up to distract me from the study of Christian Science. I have also received much valuable and loving help from our practitioners, when I have called upon them at any hour of the day or night, for which I am most grateful.

About twenty-three years ago a small, hard lump appeared on my body, which was diagnosed as a tumor by a medical officer. It increased slowly in size for some years, but after I took up the study of Christian Science, it seemed to grow more rapidly. As I thought of the many wonderful healings which I already had received from the study of Christian Science, I decided to get in touch with a practitioner, and immediately the treatment was begun.

There was much study and hard work to be done before this difficulty began to release its hold, but the many truths explained to me by the practitioner were doing their work, and after I had been laid up for a week, the whole thing began to disappear. At the end of six weeks I was back at my usual occupation.

On account of being absent from my employment I had to produce a medical certificate the first week, and when the doctor examined me, he ordered me into the hospital for an immediate operation. I declined, however, to carry out this order, for I felt the whole thing could be overcome, just as many other ills had been, by the Word of Truth. The healing was soon complete.

I am very grateful for all the loving help I have received from Christian Science in each experience, but for this last healing words fail me to express my grateful thanks to God for His loving-kindness and for the love expressed by the practitioner.

Great changes have taken place in my character, many unlovely traits having disappeared, and my daily experiences in consequence have become more harmonious. I am grateful for the privilege of serving in a branch church and for membership in The Mother Church. I am grateful too for our dear Leader's wisdom in establishing the Christian Science periodicals, including our wonderful daily newspaper, The Christian Science Monitor. For all our dear Leader's achievements as God's chosen revelator to this age I am truly and humbly grateful. Verily, as the Bible says, "Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them."—Thomas A. Frazer, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
