"It's today!"

How often a child's words awaken us to greater appreciation and illumination of spiritual truth! A young boy had been looking forward to a picnic party, and early in the morning of the appointed day he appeared at the home of the friend who was to share the jaunt, his face glowing, his voice eager. "It's today!" he cried happily, "it's today!"

The friend, a student of Christian Science, received much benefit from pondering the child's joyous exclamation. Yes, for all it is today! Today is all we have, and today we have all, because the real, spiritual man, made in the image of God, possesses by reflection all that God is and has.

" 'Now,' cried the apostle, 'is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation,'—meaning, not that now men must prepare for a future-world salvation, or safety, but that now is the time in which to experience that salvation in spirit and in life" (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 39). What grateful release these words of Mary Baker Eddy bring us from the fears that would becloud our human pathway! What glorious possibilities they open to the spiritually awakened thought!
