"Never severed from Spirit!"

The world is blessed indeed today in that, through Christian Science, the original, real man, as God knows him, has been revealed. One who seems to be sick, afraid, suffering, may lift his thought above that which the world, without question, accepts as reality—namely, a material sense of existence—and awake to the understanding and certainty of true manhood, the original, everlasting, and perfect creation of God.

What emancipation is promised! What new fields of opportunity are disclosed! What vistas of hope and accomplishment are glimpsed through the window facing heavenward, which Christian Science has opened! For this Science has brought to light once more the truth regarding God, man, and the universe, truth which is present here and now, and can be understood and demonstrated. On page 253 of "The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany" Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, writes: "It rejoices me to know that you know that healing the sick, soothing sorrow, brightening this lower sphere with the ways and means of the higher and everlasting harmony, brings to light the perfect original man and universe. What nobler achievement, what greater glory can nerve your endeavor?"

Christ Jesus spoke of himself as the Son of God; and he said, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." He was the mightiest emancipator the world has ever known, because he was fully cognizant of the true nature of God and man. He lived this divine nature, and proved his unparalleled understanding of the truth of being by healing the sick, raising the dead, and destroying sin.
