Revelation

Out of the depths have I cried unto Thee,
And Thou, in Thy compassion, Lord, hast heard;
Through darkest clouds of earth's inharmony
There shines the presence of Thy saving word.

As when o'er shadowed earth the morning breaks
And shade is lost in light's immensity,
So now the truth my blinded sense o'ertakes
And earth-clouds fade in consciousness of Thee.

No more the mists of doubt and fear conceal
Thy peace, which as a river floweth free;
The bounty of Thy grace doth Christ reveal
To all mankind, throughout eternity.
