Great is my gratitude to God, and to dear Mrs. Eddy, for the many blessings which I have received through the study of Christian Science. Some of the physical healings I have experienced are of typhoid malaria, an acute deafness in one ear, blindness lasting for several hours, a soft corn that had been an open sore over eighteen years, headaches, pain in my eyes, and an acute attack of pain in the shoulders that shortened my breath and caused intense pain for hours. In the past twenty-one years all these have been cured—destroyed by Christian Science treatment and by my reading and studying our dear Leader's writings together with the Bible. The Christian Science literature has been given daily study to meet my daily needs.

The physical disorder from which I am most thankful to be free is catarrh of long standing. At one time a sore formed on the roof of my mouth and caused terrible fear of cancer. I was afraid to let anyone know of this condition, so I went to a most loving practitioner, who calmed my fear and assured me of recovery. To me it seemed equal to raising the dead when I found that my mouth was healed in less than ten days.
