In thankfulness to God and love and gratitude to Mrs. Eddy,...
In thankfulness to God and love and gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, the interpreter of Jesus' wonderful teachings and works, I desire to relate some of the many, many benefits which I have received through the study of Christian Science. For a number of years I suffered more than could be told from fatigue and weakness. I was led to visit a sister in the northwestern part of the United States who was studying Christian Science. I had with me my young baby who had been constantly under the doctor's care and who had never had a natural movement of the bowels, that I knew of. During my trip there I was train sick all the way and could hardly rise to have my berth made up. The second day after my arrival I read the Lesson-Sermon with my sister and loved it and knew I was being led out of darkness into light. After studying for six weeks I suddenly realized that I could be healed, and in three treatments I was completely cured of chronic constipation. At the same time the baby was healed of stomach trouble and constipation and was a different child from that time on. Train sickness and many other discords were also destroyed, and I have never since had any desire to use material remedies for myself or my family; on the contrary, I had a great desire to study and learn how to apply the wonderful truth which makes us free.
Our youngest child has been healed three different times when apparently at death's door. The last time the help came from the following verse from the ninety-first psalm: "For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways," and I must say pure and true thoughts have kept me all the way. He is now a strong, healthy, happy boy. A case of eczema, a felon, and a broken arm have all been quickly overcome. Supply has been demonstrated by realizing that there is an abundance for all of God's ideas. These are just a few of the many blessings that have come to our home since I took up the study of Christian Science.—(Mrs.) Martha M. Morton, Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
