The Lectures

This field had its second lecture on January 21, 1904. There have been three lectures given in the Mexican Republic within a year; the first was given in March, 1903, in this city, the second on the date above stated, and the third at San Luis Potosi by the society there on January 18, 1904. All three lectures were given by Judge Ewing.

Christian Scientists are to be found in all the large centers, such as Torreon, Chihuahua, Oaxaca, etc., and we know the Field will rejoice with us that the truth is spreading in the Mexican Republic.

At the lecture on the 21st, the subject of which was "Works of Jesus as Exemplified in Christian Science," we had a fair audience, but it was select, attentive, and appreciative. The speaker was introduced briefly by the First Reader, Mr. E. C. Butler. Though Judge Ewing spoke for almost two hours, attention never lagged, and he was wonderfully impressed with the attention given him by the audience.
