Finding peace as a parent

I’m a mom of three and have been a wife for nearly 23 years. I have no idea how anyone raises a family without understanding at least a little bit of what Christian Science teaches. I don’t think I could do it.

When my children were younger, they would get sick, or hurt themselves while playing. Whatever came up, we turned to God and Christian Science, and always found very quick, complete healing.

In my marriage, when we have faced financial hardship, relationship problems, or questions about raising our children, taking our issues to God has always given us a sense of direction, peace, and unity. If I didn’t know that God, divine Love, was always guiding, protecting, and healing us all, I think every bit of life would feel scary to me. I would feel very lost and alone.
