In an editorial titled “Fifty years on, practical lessons from German-Israeli friendship,” The Christian Science Monitor writes of Germany and Israel’s “remarkable reconciliation” since the Holocaust, noting that it “sets an example for other people either coping with the wounds of mass slaughter or trying to take responsibility for being a perpetrator of such crimes.”

Passages from the writings of Mary Baker Eddy:

“God is Father, infinite, and this great truth, when understood in its divine metaphysics, will establish the brotherhood of man, end wars, and demonstrate ‘on earth peace, good will toward men’ ” (The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 279 ).

“Individuals, as nations, unite harmoniously on the basis of justice, and this is accomplished when self is lost in Love—or God’s own plan of salvation” (The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 283 ).

“Jesus aided in reconciling man to God by giving man a truer sense of Love, the divine Principle of Jesus’ teachings, and this truer sense of Love redeems man from the law of matter, sin, and death by the law of Spirit,—the law of divine Love” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 19 ).
