Eye on the world: The possibilities of peace
In “What peace makes possible,” The Christian Science Monitor’s Editor-at-Large describes the “remarkable peace” the world has built over the last seven decades: “While there is still cruelty, suffering, and injustice ... the postwar spirit is about not accepting those problems. The greatest legacy of World War II, the rainbow of promise at its end, has been humanity’s continued commitment to building a better world.” He concludes, “... there are thousands of problems that need solving in our world. Travel back a mere 70 years, however, and you will understand how far we have come…. Peace makes everything possible.”

In “The Prince of Peace — Our Guide to World Peace”: “Peace is a condition of the Life that is God, natural to and inseparable therefrom…. The Christ reveals one Mind and one will, blessing, loving, and expressed in all.” And, “Our peace—all enduring peace—is based on man’s oneness with God…. Peace is natural, unavoidable, inescapable. Infinite Mind and every one of its infinite ideas know no other status or condition…. In God’s infinitude is nothing to resist, or oppose, the peace-producing forces of Love, forever active in all consciousness. The prayerful, persistent affirmation of these mighty truths is potent to bring to light on earth today a God-sanctioned, enduring peace.”
In “Peace”: “Peace is a quality of the all-knowing Mind that knows only its own infinitude, the ever-presence of good.” And, “Peace is not fragile, evanescent, or illusive. It is mighty, dependable, abiding. Peace is not upset by evil, helpless before aggression, vanquished by force. It is immortally real and enduring, ever tributary to divine Principle and emanating therefrom.”
