In “Progress in the global war on povertyThe Christian Science Monitor reports on a “remarkable” transformation: “Global poverty has fallen faster during the past 20 years than at any time in history…. Ideas on this subject:

From the Bible:

The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens. ... He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill.
Psalms 113:4, 7

Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Matthew 6:33

From the writings of Mary Baker Eddy:

God gives you His spiritual ideas, and in turn, they give you daily supplies. Never ask for to-morrow: it is enough that divine Love is an ever-present help; and if you wait, never doubting, you will have all you need every moment. What a glorious inheritance is given to us through the understanding of omnipresent Love!
