Why we chose this topic

For more than a century, the Christian Science periodicals have included verified accounts of healing sent in by people around the world, who in a moment of great need learned about Christian Science. Sometimes, as in this case, it is a neighbor or friend who isn’t a Christian Scientist who points them in the direction of its purely spiritual and compassionate approach to healing.

At a time when humanity’s hope of healing and immunity from physical suffering seems especially fragile, accounts such as this one from a woman in Nigeria inspire and encourage us.

On the mission of the Christian Science Sentinel

“The Sentinel still reminds us of the need to watch. And it still alerts us to the primary thing: proving in our own lives the power of Christ.”
