Sexual assault: what YOU can do

It’s probably happened to you, or to someone you know. An inappropriate photo. A degrading comment. In some cases, a physical encounter that went too far. Unfortunately, it happens so often that many of my friends have come to think of it as normal.

But sexual assault, no matter how “minor” the offense, is not normal. And as healers, we have an opportunity to stand up for a true normal; we have God-given authority to see a transformation in the way we relate to each other. To see healing.

How can we pray about this? I’ve been asking God to show me, and you can ask, too. God will give you the spiritual understanding that erases fear and shame and reveals the God-given security and dominion that belong to each of us.
