Climate change: How prayer can help

Live audio chat with Martha Sarvis, CS

Noting that there are many different views of climate change, Martha says that prayer can bring all of us together, no matter which side of the issue we are on. "Whether or not the climate is in danger, there's one thing we can be sure of: God's love for His creation is not changing. It is as pure, perfect, and ever-present as it was 'in the beginning.' We can trust this love to guide us through the maze of opinions and beliefs about climate change."

Site visitors asked about how thought affects the climate and how uplifting thought to divine Mind's intelligent government can help. Fear about storms, including hurricanes, concerned other individuals. Greed, waste, and selfishness were also mentioned. In responding, Martha says that claiming God's care for humanity and the world isn't just an abstract exercise but is actively insisting that God reigns and that our prayers can make a difference.
