The Science of healing, made plain for all

It’s safe to say that when Mary Baker Eddy discovered Christian Science, she felt and experienced God’s love more profoundly than ever before. She found this Science to be God’s remedy for mankind’s suffering, including her own. It was God’s love coming to human consciousness and healing “all manner of sickness and all manner of disease” (Matthew 10:1), the same love that was evidenced in the healing work that Christ Jesus and his disciples did. Since her discovery, the countless healings that have taken place through the practice of Christian Science, and the broad scope of those healings, have confirmed the ability of this Science to meet mankind’s great need for healing.

It wouldn’t be consistent with the nature of God, who is infinite divine Love, to reveal the healing answer to mankind’s ills, but keep aspects of that answer obscure or difficult to find. God’s promise of healing is fully available to all mankind. Mrs. Eddy writes in the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures: “In divine Science, where prayers are mental, all may avail themselves of God as ‘a very present help in trouble.’ Love is impartial and universal in its adaptation and bestowals. It is the open fount which cries, ‘Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters’ ” (pp. 12–13).

God’s promise of healing is fully available to all mankind.
