Skin condition healed

One night, I noticed a stinging feeling on the inside of my foot. I immediately denied that irritation could be a part of me—I knew that as God’s spiritual reflection, my being is not in matter and includes nothing but harmony and perfection, as all power belongs to God. Anything that God doesn’t create has no true substance or power, no divine law to support it.

For several days, I continued praying in this way. The irritation, which appeared to be some sort of fungal condition, began to spread and became more inflamed, but I was not afraid because I knew that God, Truth, is supreme and governs His spiritual ideas, including me.

A few years earlier, a neighbor had introduced me to Christian Science, and I had studied the Christian Science publications she had given me, eager to demonstrate the truths they shared. I’d had healings of flulike symptoms, headaches, and chronic back pain. So I decided to continue addressing this situation through Christian Science instead of seeing a doctor or applying a salve.
