Learning motherhood’s true meaning

It brings me to my mental knees to acknowledge the beautiful gift of the fulfillment of this promise from Isaiah: “Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he” (43:10).

On my journey of motherhood in particular, I have had—and continue to have—ample opportunity to witness God’s allness and ever-loving care. Motherhood has come to mean so much more to me than having children and raising them. In fact, it was a growing understanding of a spiritual sense of motherhood that eventually led me into the public practice of Christian Science healing.

I strove to prayerfully embrace all of God’s children.
