Swollen foot healed

I had started reusing a pair of boots (previously relegated to the back of the closet) for walks with my canine companion. After the first walk, I recalled why the boots had been relegated: The right boot excessively pressured the top of my foot. Still, I wore them for two days of walks, then consigned them to the garage, never to be worn again.

That night, I observed that the top of my foot was reddish and tender to the touch. I casually thought, “I probably bruised the bone.” Two mornings later, I awoke with a painfully swollen right foot, and it was very uncomfortable to walk or move around.

A student of Christian Science, I recognized that the condition was a false material belief manifest in the body; I knew this mistaken belief could be corrected through understanding the allness of Spirit, God, good, and therefore the nothingness of things material—and this understanding of truth would restore normalcy.
