Harmony–it's natural

After checking out the news stories on any given day, it appears that conflict is an integral part of life. Whether it’s incompatible lifestyles, disagreements in families, business disputes, or clashes between politicians or nations—so many things need resolving.

I was babysitting my three-year-old twin grandchildren one weekend, enjoying their happy play. Every now and then, though, there were some tears when one of them would take a toy away from the other one or was unwilling to share. Then a reminder that we “share” and “take turns” because we “love each other” usually resolved the situation quickly.

Loving and respecting one another. This simple Christly demand, when followed, can help all of us find powerful and effective answers to conflicts of all types, small and big.
