Healing of a lump in the groin

First published in the French edition of The Herald of Christian Science, Le Héraut de la Science Chrétienne

It all started over one year ago, when I noticed a small lump in my groin. It could very well have been some sort of a pimple, after all. So I ignored it. Several days later, however, when I discovered that this “pimple” was not going away, but was now the size of a small marble, I decided to pray instead of letting my thoughts wander into imagining troubling causes for this growth.

Since childhood, I have always addressed and overcome all types of unpleasant, even dangerous, situations through prayer in Christian Science. I rely totally and without reservation on the teachings of the Bible, as illuminated by the spiritual interpretation given by Mary Baker Eddy in her writings and especially in Science and Health.

As I see it, to pray is to acknowledge that the divine laws, which are always present and all-powerful, never cease to support and govern our lives. That’s what it means to rely on God, the spiritual Principle of life. Thanks to these thoughts, I became calm enough to be able to discern what was true about me and what was not.
