I felt God's love around me

Hi, I am Naomi. I live in Kingston, New York, and I am six years old.

In Sunday School I learned about the story of Jairus' daughter. Jesus said she was just sleeping. But the people laughed because they thought she was dead. Then Jesus sent the people out of the house. I think he locked the door against thoughts that didn't come from God. The girl woke up and was healed.

The other day, my hand got smooshed in the door. At first, I screamed and felt scared. Mom and I talked about how nothing can hurt God's child, because God is always with you. I felt better. We went on a walk. At the end of the walk my fingers started to hurt a lot. We quietly prayed. When I pray, I feel God's love around me and other people.

By the time we got home, I'd forgotten all about it. The next day, there was not a scrape or bruise on my fingers. And it's still like that today.
