LETTERS

I'm grateful for Janet Clements's article, "Hope and the bamboo seed" in the April 28 Sentinel ["A reason to hope"]. My present branch Church of Christ, Scientist, and home were providing me with the sense of peace I'd been yearning for over a period of time. Yet there was a lot of clutter in my home with minimal progress to get rid of it.

Janet wrote in her article: "There was truly cause for rejoicing as I welcomed my students on the first day [of a college class I was teaching]. If they'd only known all the hope I'd been cherishing throughout that summer and that they represented its beautiful fruition!" After I read Janet's article, I got rid of the clutter and found my home expressing more beauty and order. Also, a good friend from church put up my new wall hangings, posters, and pictures. I now have cause for rejoicing as I invite my friends of all ages, including my Sunday School students and their families, to my home.

Thanks to the editors for keeping the Christian Science periodicals "abreast of the times."
