BACK INJURY HEALED

A few years ago, I was playing with my dog. In a moment of fun, I picked him up to carry him down some stairs. But my foot slipped, and since I didn't want to drop my dog, I held on to him tightly and ended up bouncing down the stairs. My back took a sharp blow on the edge of each uncarpeted step.

Once at the foot of the stairs, I saw that my dog had landed on all fours, completely unharmed, for which I was grateful. But the next thought that came to me was that I couldn't get up and was in pain.

My husband heard the commotion and came running to see what had happened. I felt somewhat stunned, both physically and mentally, but immediately challenged the idea that my true mobility could be limited in any way. I silently but vehemently affirmed God's loving presence and power while my husband helped me into a chair in the next room.
