LETTERS

One of the back issues of the Sentinel that I saw recently focused on "Calming the storm of thought" [November 7, 2005]. There was a wonderful article by Betty Jenks titled "Found: 'a deepsettled calm'," about how she had met and mastered the storms that had arisen in her life, including the challenges involved in bringing up her family.

I have developed a great respect for Mrs. Jenks over the many years that I have been reading her articles, and it brought me such hope and encouragement to see that she, too, had faced many challenges and had learned to conquer the fears through persistent effort and reliance on God, through her understanding of Christian Science. I gained such a lot from reading it and was able to share it with someone else at a Christian Science lecture.

Although this is from a back issue, I feel it is never too late to express gratitude. Thank you to all of the Sentinel staff and writers for your tireless and selfless work to bless.
