Business. Who's in control?

Anxiety and possible loss of a business are things many people face in the current economy. Bruce Rensing has confronted these challenges in his own business. Mr. Rensing is president of a family-owned electronic components firm with both domestic and international clients. He talked with us about how prayer has brought him closer to the realization of God's presence, providing guidance in his life—and in his business.

A lot of businesses are struggling in the current economic environment. How do you find prayer helpful during these times? One facet of my metaphysical work every morning for our business is prayer—understanding how the business is guided by God, who is the one divine Mind. And His ideas are not exclusive to me individually or to us as a company collectively. They are there for everyone, and that includes our suppliers and our customers. This prayer also acknowledges that God is the source of only good and right ideas. And in making that acknowledgment we are trusting in God, divine Mind, to supply us all with good ideas. Consequently, right ideas lead to right decisions, which ultimately lead to right action.

This process is kind of like a student going to a teacher for help in answering a question. The teacher will not just give him the answer. But wouldn't a teacher inspire the student with ideas on how and where the correct answer can be found?
