Power in Popcorn?

Have you ever let popcorn take control over you? I have. Unwittingly.

I usually sleep soundly from lights-out to alarm-off—but not so one night. At two o'clock I awoke feeling miserable. I had snacked before retiring. My first waking thought was, "The popcorn!" I was giving power to popcorn—to matter—to create conditions for me, and for a moment the belief of life and sensation in matter had considerable prominence in my experience.

Quickly, though, a clear sense of what I was learning as a student of Christian Science came to the rescue. I was freed from the illusion of indigestion through the alert recollection that right at that very moment—and always—God and God alone was creating every condition of my being.
