Listening to God's Voice

[Of Special Interest to Children]

Have you ever heard God's voice talking to you? If so, you know how to listen for it. When God talks to us He always tells us the truth of Himself and of ourselves. It is important for us to learn how to listen to Truth, because God is Truth.

I should like to tell of how one boy learned to listen to Truth. His name is Bobby, and he goes to a Christian Science Sunday School every Sunday.

One Sunday the teacher told the class the Bible story of the boy Samuel. One night while he was staying in the temple with the priest Eli, Samuel heard a voice calling him. He thought it was Eli, but Eli told Samuel that he had not called him. This happened twice. The third time Eli realized that God must have called Samuel, and Eli told Samuel when he heard the voice again to say, "Speak, Lord; for thy servant heareth."
