STOPPING ERROR'S TEASING

[Of Special Interest to Children]

This is a true story about Judy, who proved that we do not have to listen to error's teasing.

Judy is a Christian Scientist, and she knows that she must love God and love her neighbor. One day a boy in her neighborhood started to tease her and say things about her that were not true. Judy became very unhappy and started to cry. When she told her mother about it, her mother said, "Why, Judy, you know that wasn't God's child who was teasing you; it was only error."

As they talked about the experience, they realized that all of God's children are loving and thoughtful because they are created in His image and likeness. They knew also that God is the only creator. Mary Baker Eddy says in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 444), "Immortals, or God's children in divine Science, are one harmonious family; but mortals, or the 'children of men' in material sense, are discordant and ofttimes false brethren.'"
