"This is the day"

"This is the day which the Lord hath made," cried the Psalmist; "we will rejoice and be glad in it." "This is the day." Those who have been led to the study of Christian Science have experienced joyous gratitude for the revelation that good is theirs now.

We cannot look back to the past for joy or wait for it in the future. All good is ours now because given to us by God, eternal Love, in whom our true selfhood has always existed, and by whom every need is supplied.

The blessed message of Christian healing is ours today. Mary Baker Eddy, the beloved Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, writes (Unity of Good, p. 42), "Man, in Science, is as perfect and immortal now, as when 'the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy.'"
