Prayer and national health care reform

The night before the passing of the United States National Health Care Act, I turned earnestly to God and soon found the wisdom of divine Love taking the lead in my prayers. I was awakened to the need to fully acknowledge and love the allness of God and the supremacy of God’s laws.

This inspired direction enabled me to feel a deep sense of love and compassion for the office of chief magistrate and the lawmakers of this land. As I prayed, I just let the light of Christ fill my thought, and I saw that those carrying such a responsibility were working in their highest sense of right and striving to achieve a system that would be of benefit to all.

Upon hearing about the passing of this new legislation, I have to admit that I was disappointed. However, I steadfastly turned to the Christ for light and inspiration over the next week and had the joy of seeing my prayers answered in a way I never expected.
