On the wings of Love

As a granddaughter’s wedding in England drew close, my family prepared to fly across the Atlantic and attend the joyous affair. But all sorts of frightening thoughts presented themselves, whispering, “American embassies are closing. The 12th anniversary of 9/11 is approaching. A terrorist attack might occur. Is it really safe to take this trip?”

I knew now was the time to dispel any negative thoughts about flying and replace them with the truth about each individual, and our safety in God’s loving care. As I booked our air tickets, I found myself humming a popular old Jeffrey Osborne tune that seemed so right for the moment:
