In “Human trafficking: US closes legal loophole on ‘slave labor’ imports” The Christian Science Monitor reports on legislation that would close a loophole in a 1930s law that “has provided legal cover for a wide range of imports” produced by forced or child labor. The bill “comes amid growing public awareness about the prevalence of modern-day slavery.”
