Eye on the world: The power of Love

In “The quiet quality that uplifts” The Christian Science Monitor states, “A culture buffeted by conflict, controversy, and coarseness can be improved with one simple ingredient.” The Monitor further explains, “The substance is ‘philia,’ which goes by its generic name ‘brotherly love.’ ” Qualities such as compassion “will never lead the evening news or top the Drudge Report,” notes the article, but they “build, make better, heal.”
