Sharing your comments

Letters from readers have been published at different times in The Christian Science Journal and Christian Science Sentinel since their earliest issues. Published letters provide readers with an avenue to broadly share gratitude, inspiration, and occasional feedback about what they have read in the Christian Science magazines. With the advent of JSH-Online, this concept of sharing was enhanced in multiple ways. Because of the ease of the digital platform, users were instantly able to “Like” an article, email an inspiring healing directly to a friend, share publicly their enthusiasm for a podcast on Facebook and Twitter, and post comments within the JSH-Online community.

Sharing is a core feature of JSH-Online. In the last month alone, there have been over 27,000 pageviews of free homepage-featured content or of content that has been shared with others. Whether you email a pertinent article to a family member or tweet about a spiritual perspective on a news event, the act of sharing echos a statement Jesus made in a parable, “Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled” (Luke 14:23).

On Thursday, April 14, 2016, we are taking a step to refocus sharing so that the articles can stand on their own in presenting their messages, even while their messages, and comments about them, are shared with others through various off-site channels. We are removing the “Add a comment” function for posting comments on articles, testimonies, poems, blogs, and audio programs, but we still would like to hear your thoughts or the inspiration you’ve gained. So in place of the comments box, you can “Send a comment” to the Editors that may be featured in an upcoming Journal or Sentinel Letters column. We look forward to your continued contributions in this new way.

The readers of the Christian Science periodicals are an active, engaged community, and we continue to be encouraged by your loving support. Thank you for participating in JSH-Online and for sharing the good news of Christian healing with the world!

We'd love to hear from you!
